Managing DirectorLodi Muller “I plant ideas”
With the combination of a BSc Agric in Horticulture and Soil Science and a MSc Agric in the pruning and pollination of Blueberries, Lodi Muller is a powerhouse of knowledge and skill when it comes to the nursery! As a Technical Consultant he was a key role player in setting up the Blueberry nursery for Eurafruit. He is a man with many great ideas who also possesses the expertise and endurance to make them reality. The voice of growth and innovation and a steadfast pillar of Multicrop Nursery.
Director Nick Townsend “I grow people”
After completing his Bachelor of Commerce degree in Economics from Natal University, Nick started his professional career in Investment Banking in London. On his return to South Africa, he joined their family-owned business and travelled the world whilst learning and experiencing all walks of life. In 2018 Nick joined Eurafruit Nurseries and played a cardinal role in starting Multicrop Pty (Ltd). He now not only meticulously manages the 2 businesses to successfully grow, but also invests time and effort in each employee to reach their full potential. Nick is a proud husband and father who enjoys the outdoors, good times with friends and keeping fit. An all-rounder who applies core family values to grow each seed where they have been planted. Nick is the heartbeat from where both companies thrive.
Production ManagerHeindrich Haasbroek“I grow the plants”
A young, passionate and energetic sport lover from the Free State. Heindrich exchanged the open plains for the Western Cape mountains to be a Hockey, Cricket and Rugby coach but soon found his true passion in farming. With a Diploma in Horticulture and Plant Production he now boasts 4 years of nursery experience in Blueberries, Raspberries, Blackberries, Plums, Guavas and Roses.
Production ManagerZander De Jager“I make the plants”
A Bosveld boytjie all the way from Nelspruit, now firmly rooted in the Western Cape! After enrolling for BsC Agri at Stellenbosch University, Zander started his career in Mozambique farming bananas and macadamias.
A passionate young man with a tangible love for nature, fishing and his stunning wife! With his hands-on approach, Zander is exactly what Multicrop needs to grow, not only world-class avocado trees, but also as a company.
Operations ManagerLydia Burger “I keep the plants in line”
A farm girl born and bred in the Boland. Lydia graduated with an Honors degree in Acting and Cabaret from Stellenbosch University but soon realized her strength lied in management. With a creative outlook on life, she is a people’s person who thrives on juggling multiple responsibilities. 10 years marketing and operations experience in the wine industry led to an exciting opportunity at Multicrop bringing her back to her farming roots. If you want something done – she’s your girl!
